Please note that membership of the ANZFSS is for 12 months from the date of approval and only for one branch.

Some benefits of membership, such as discounted Symposium registration, may require a minimum period of membership to have elapsed before you are eligible.

The ANZFSS is made up of multiple local branches, the branches may have their own rules and member acceptance criteria.

For administrative reasons, you must select ONE of the nine branches of the Society you wish to be associated with.
This should be the branch whose meetings you are best able to attend regularly and should therefore be the jurisdiction within which you live/work.

You must also provide us with the details (below) of two referees, preferably financial members of the ANZFSS (associated with the branch selected above) who are willing to nominate you for membership. Academic referees and professional referees are also accepted. If no referees are provided, your application more information will be requested or your application may be rejected.

If you do not know two members able to support your application, the branch you wish to be associated with will need to assess your interest in forensic science.

To assist with this, please use the '+ Add File' button below to upload a letter explaining your interest and relevant credentials, otherwise we will be unable to process your application.

If you are applying as a student, please email a screenshot of your proof of full time enrolment from your student email account to membership@anzfss.org.

Associate membership applications should email (not attach) a statement demonstrating their active interest in Forensic Science and why they would like to be come a member to membership@anzfss.org

The ANZFSS will use your personal information to send you notifications about ANZFSS events and opportunities, membership renewals, and third party events that we think our members might be interested in. The only third party that your personal information will be passed on to is the professional conference organiser responsible for each biennial ANZFSS symposium. If you do not agree with ANZFSS using your personal information in this way you will be unable to finalise your membership application.
